Abstract

The article examines e-government as an integral part of the information and communication system of democratic governance in Ukraine, its role in creating new, more convenient methods of access to public services within the framework of the national digitalization program, building more effective ways of interaction between local self-government bodies and state authorities with business and by the public, modernization of public administration and improvement of the quality of provision of public services.

It was established that in recent years e-government has become a key tool for promoting sustainable development and improving the provision of public services. In Ukraine, e-government is considered an important component of the country's general information and communication system, which has the potential to significantly increase the efficiency, transparency and accountability of public services.

The state of development of e-governance was analyzed based on indicators of improving the efficiency of state administration. The issue of implementing electronic government in Ukraine as an integral part of the country's European integration process and bringing public administration into line with the practice of the European Union was considered.

It is emphasized that one of the existing problems of the implementation of e-government initiatives in Ukraine in modern conditions is a certain lack of system and uncertainty that has developed in the relationship between the authorities and consumers of administrative services. In these conditions, e-governance requires cooperation and coordination between government institutions to ensure seamless and integrated provision of electronic services.

Developed recommendations, proposals and defined main lines of action to improve the system, the implementation of which should lead to numerous benefits, including improved transparency and accountability, increased efficiency and economy, improved access of citizens to information and public services, as well as increased interaction between the government and citizens in Ukraine.
