The social security of the state, namely the social security of the people, is a key factor in state’s stability and further development. However, limited resources, existing state structures and organizations may not always be able to fully ensure and maintain the desired level of social security in the state. That is why the search for and use of new approaches to ensuring social security is an important task of public policy. Volunteering can be an important component of the social security of the state in today's challenges, and young people - the most active category in the process of volunteering.
Volunteering can be done physically or online, depending on the needs of the situation and the capabilities of the volunteers themselves. The role of volunteers in dealing with the consequences of natural disasters, emergencies, etc. is important.
However, in order to obtain positive results, the state must create appropriate conditions for the development and promotion of volunteering. Volunteers can help ensure Ukraine's social security when the “participation climate” in the country is created, when volunteering and charitable organizations are promoted and supported in various formats, namely: motivating and encouraging young people to be socially active and participate in volunteering; to form the state attitude to volunteers and such activities not as unpaid work and free workers, but as an important resource that needs to be preserved, developed and maintained in available ways; develop and support various forms of volunteering both offline and online; prepare and involve children and youth in volunteering from an early age; provide opportunities for volunteering at different ages and throughout life.
Further research and thorough analysis requires the possibility of involving other categories of people than children and youth in volunteering, as well as the use of all opportunities for online volunteering and its promotion to ensure the social security of the state.
