Abstract

The article provides theoretical and methodological analysis of migration processes in EU countries and Ukraine in the conditions of globalization and war. It also gives characteristics of the globalization role and its influence on the processes of labor migration to EU countries among active population.

It is discovered that the interdependence between societies and states is growing in the era of globalization. Interstate migration of people is spreading due to many reasons (demand in the world labor market, uneven development of countries) and factors created by globalization (development of transport and information infrastructure).

Migration is defined as a complex social process that affects political, socio-economic and cultural spheres of society's life. The EU pays great attention to foreign policy tools for effective migration management, striving to create a system that ensures predictable and controlled migration to European countries.

It is noted that the motivation of migration processes in Ukraine is the following: "the search for better working conditions abroad; the desire to improve one's financial situation due to a salary increase; fear of being left without a job in the homeland; high cost of education and lack of hope in finding a job in a particular sphere, etc

It is established that the Russian military invasion of Ukraine worsened the situation with population migration, caused a large-scale humanitarian emergency, which forced millions of Ukrainians to leave the country.

It is emphasized that the migration factor plays an important role for Ukraine, because, firstly, Ukrainian migration is part of European economic relations; secondly, it is directly related to the political and economic processes taking place in Ukraine and EU countries; thirdly, it is of great importance both for Ukraine in terms of its integration into the European community and for Ukrainian migrants, whose rights abroad in terms of cooperation with the European community are significantly expanded. In the conditions of European integration of Ukraine, its migration policy should be adjusted with the migration policy of the EU countries.
